Job Title: Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at our manufacturing location in Beamsville, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing activities to support our business activities in North America.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of skills, including excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to obtain the best price, quality, and delivery terms for goods and services.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts to vendors.
• Evaluate and implement purchasing strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Work closely with internal departments to determine their purchasing needs and requirements.
• Manage inventory levels and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve any issues or disputes that arise with vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet company standards for quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and identify potential risks.
• Analyze market trends and conditions to stay up-to-date with pricing and product availability.
• Collaborate with the procurement team in corporate head office (Germany) to align KPI reporting, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

• University/college degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing (operational & strategic), procurement, inventory, and supply chain management.
• High proficiency in ERP systems, MS-Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Working Conditions:

• 100% onsite at the company premises.
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible times as required by senior management).
• Occasional overtime and/or weekend work.
• Occasional travel may be required.
