Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Beamsville, ON, responsible for purchasing activities that support Dörken's business activities in North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors to support operational and strategic activities.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient operations and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and specifications.
  • Manage inventory levels, track orders, and resolve any issues or disputes with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
Requirements
  • University/college degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (APICS Certification an asset).
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, and supply chain management, with high proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Benefits and Working Conditions
  • Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Fully remote work arrangement, with occasional onsite meetings at the company premises in Beamsville, ON.
  • Flexible working hours, with 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM standard schedule and occasional overtime and/or weekend work.
