Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist - Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for purchasing activities to support our manufacturing location in Beamsville, ON. They will plan, source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors to ensure the company has the resources it needs to operate efficiently.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The Purchasing Specialist will develop and implement purchasing strategies, processes, and procedures to meet the company's operational and strategic objectives.

• IDentify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to obtain the best price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts to vendors.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, procedures, and specifications.
• Work closely with internal departments to determine their purchasing needs and requirements.
• Manage inventory levels and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve any issues or disputes that arise with vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet the company's standards for quality, delivery, and cost.

To be successful in this role, you should have a university/college degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, and supply chain management is required. You should also have high proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
