Mechanical Designer

Marmon Industrial Water Limited is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our New Equipment group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and detailing custom process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop 3D piping layouts for skid mounted process equipment from P&ID drawings, adhering to piping codes and client specifications.
- Produce structural skid detail drawings for fabrication, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop various bill of materials and lists for piping materials and valves, supporting team members and projects as required.
- Interface regularly with other disciplines, reporting to the Mechanical Design Supervisor.
- 5-10 years of Mechanical engineering design experience using SolidWorks.
- Experience with design and modelling/drafting process equipment and piping.
- Technical competence in process equipment design, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment.
- Ability to plan and properly organize workflow to meet varying workload demands and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with water treatment equipment design/drafting.
- Experience with B31.3 and/or B31.1 piping codes.
- Experience with structural steel design/drafting.
- Ability to review engineering documents and specifications, recognizing important or unusual requirements.
