Aurora Cannabis seeks an experienced Senior Supply Chain Planning Specialist to lead the implementation of a planning tool, collaborating with stakeholders and project teams to design and implement effective supply planning processes.

About the Role

This is a 15-18 month contract opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Supply Planning division as a Project Lead. As a key member of the team, you will act as the functional lead for the development and implementation of a planning tool (Maestro by Kinaxis), supporting the supply planning groups by assisting with regular activities/tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the planning tool in collaboration with the project team.
  • Support the supply planning teams with planning activities, validating data & functionality for areas under Supply Planning and Finite Scheduling.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document supply planning requirements through SOPs.
  • Understand business process flows and possible nuances, maintaining thorough documentation of project plans, workflows, and processes.
  • Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement while staying in scope of the planning tool.
  • BUILDING AND MAINTAINING RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS WHILE ADDRESSING STAKEHOLDER CONCERNS.
  • Evaluate existing systems' integration effectiveness through testing and quality assurance.
  • Identify risks and collaborate with the project team to develop mitigation plans, monitoring risks throughout the project lifecycle and adapting as necessary.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure user adoption, communicating changes effectively to all stakeholders involved.
  • Provide training and support to users on any new processes or tools.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of supply planning processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with using and implementing planning tools and software.
  • Understanding of the S&OP process and interdependencies between planning functions.
  • Knowledge of data relationships and connectivity's between data tables.
  • Expertise in data analysis and manipulation using Excel with large-scale data sets.
  • Strong background in creating complex Excel formulas and functions.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges during project execution.
  • Proficiency in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Capability of effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the Agile methodology for project management.
  • CPG, pharmaceutical, food or similar manufacturing experience.
  • 5 years of experience - supply planning, forecasting, system implementation or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree/Advanced Diploma with Supply Chain Management focus or related field.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range: $120,000-$150,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
