This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,535 to $106,512 (job grade 16), with opportunities for performance-based pay and bonuses.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our team in Media Relations. As a key member of our Communications Department, you will play a central role in supporting the Bank's policy objectives and monetary policy function.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, drafting, and executing campaigns for the Bank's external social media platforms
  • Providing advice on external communications related to all of the Bank's functions
  • Preparing briefing materials for senior management on sensitive, high-profile media relations issues
  • Responding to media questions and organizing interview requests, press conferences, and other media activities
  • Developing and maintaining constructive ongoing relations with the media

You will work closely with senior Bank officials, colleagues in other departments, and other sections of the Communications Department to ensure an integrated approach to the Bank's external communications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Digital communications skills, including preparing text and visual content for social media platforms
  • Media relations experience, including dealing with journalists on sensitive files and issues
  • Knowledge of the public environment, including the media and the political system, and how they function
  • Ability to plan and manage activities in an environment requiring co-operation, coordination, and flexibility to meet objectives
