About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Unit Aide to join our team at the Dartmouth Community Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and clean environment for our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms and common areas in accordance with infection control guidelines
  • Maintain supplies and equipment required for the unit, ensuring that everything is in good working order
  • Transport defective equipment to Biomedical Engineering for repair or replacement
  • Assist with escorting and transporting patients as needed
  • Support Ward Clerks in delivering requisitions, specimens, and other items
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a Unit Aide or in a similar role is an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
  • Commitment to Family Centred Care and a patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
