We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Unit Aide to join our team at the Dartmouth Community Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and clean environment for our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Clean and disinfect patient rooms and common areas in accordance with infection control guidelines
- Maintain supplies and equipment required for the unit, ensuring that everything is in good working order
- Transport defective equipment to Biomedical Engineering for repair or replacement
- Assist with escorting and transporting patients as needed
- Support Ward Clerks in delivering requisitions, specimens, and other items
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a Unit Aide or in a similar role is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
- Commitment to Family Centred Care and a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
