Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to work on a variety of projects, including civil and structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and energy modeling. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural design and analysis, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect client and project information and prepare structural designs/drawings in accordance with best practice design and relevant codes and standards.
  • Work with project engineers to assist in coordination of drawings sets with client expectations, including architectural coordination, value engineering, and industry standard practices.
  • Use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawing sets for construction level documents in various materials (wood, steel, concrete, precast products, etc.).
  • Use Revit to prepare 3D Building Information (BIM) models and export to 2D drawing sets.
  • Coordinate structural design with Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and other project consultants under the direction of the project Engineer.
  • Visit project site to collect required information.
  • Visit Construction site to complete construction reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by project engineers.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in structural engineering with a minimum of 2-5 years experience.
  • Registered as an Engineer-in-training (E).
  • Basic design experience in wood, structural steel, and/or concrete.
  • Experience with ETABS and SAFE will be considered an asset.
  • Basic knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
  • Registered as an Engineer-in-training (E).
