Job Title: Associate Physician, Infectious Disease

Job Summary:

Fraser Health is seeking an Associate Physician, Infectious Disease to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in patient rounds and assessments, including writing medical orders and responding to changing patient conditions.
  • Perform and document history and physical examinations, progress notes, and consultation reports.
  • Recognize, diagnose, and manage common infectious diseases, including endovascular infection, skin structures, and central nervous system infection.
  • Develop treatment plans and communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in professional development activities and quality improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
  • Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist.
  • Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
  • Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) in the Associate Physician class.
Competencies:
  • Demonstrates leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework.
  • Excellent English communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and build relationships with other healthcare professionals.
