Infectious Disease Physician Associate

Job Summary:
Fraser Health is seeking an Associate Physician to join our Infectious Disease team. As an Associate Physician, you will work under the supervision of an Infectious Diseases Attending and be accountable for providing high-quality patient care in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in patient rounds and assess the day-to-day care of patients, including writing medical orders and responding to changing patient conditions.
- Perform and document history and physical examinations, progress notes, and consultation reports.
- Recognize, diagnose, and manage common infectious diseases in consultation with Attending staff.
- Develop treatment plans and follow through on investigations in consultation with Attending staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
- Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist.
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
- Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) in the Associate Physician class.

- Professional/Technical Capabilities: Knowledge and skills to diagnose and manage common infectious diseases problems.
Working Conditions:
The Associate Physician will work in a team-based environment and be required to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
