IT Procurement Specialist

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a skilled IT Procurement Specialist to join our Shared Services group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning, and costing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate the business' needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed in advance of their expiration.
  2. Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Collaborate with vendors and Hatch peers to obtain identified savings.
  3. Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
  4. Collect and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost.
  5. Develop and maintain reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
  6. Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
  7. Organize and manage multiple priorities and/or projects by using appropriate methodologies and tools.
  8. Introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity.
  9. Encourage collaborative problem solving while acting as both a broker and consultant regarding resources.
  10. Possess broad conceptual knowledge of Information Technology.
  11. Have advanced/expert level experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  12. Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  13. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  14. Show proven researching ability.
  15. Be familiar with Inventory Management Systems, Software Patching/Update Tools, and software/hardware discovery Tools such as LAN Sweeper, KeyServer, SCCM, and others.
  16. Have working knowledge of Active Directory, Databases, & Windows Registry.
  17. Understand licensing terms and magnitude of licensing compliance.
  18. Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions.
  19. Understanding of server licensing and license files is an advantage.
  20. Ability to respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members.
  21. Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions.
