The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Indigenous Drug and Alcohol program, ensuring it meets the local area's needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing program plans, policies, and procedures
- Providing case management and support services to clients
- Collaborating with community partners and service providers
- Conducting data collection and evaluation to inform program development
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements:
- 2-year College diploma in Indigenous Studies, Social Service work, or a related field
- 2-years' experience working in the field of addictions
- Experience working in an Indigenous organization
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history, with a focus on the impacts of trauma
- Ability to work collaboratively and build lasting relationships
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and database management
- First Aid/CPR and non-violent crisis intervention certification (an asset)
- Valid driver's license with a clear driving record (an asset)
As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must obtain a clean Criminal Record and Judicial Matters (CPIC) check with Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS) within 30 days of hiring.
