The Hamilton Regional Indian Centre (HRIC) is a leading Indigenous not-for-profit organization dedicated to driving positive change in the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Indigenous Drug and Alcohol program, ensuring it meets the local area's needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing program plans, policies, and procedures
  • Providing case management and support services to clients
  • Collaborating with community partners and service providers
  • Conducting data collection and evaluation to inform program development
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • 2-year College diploma in Indigenous Studies, Social Service work, or a related field
  • 2-years' experience working in the field of addictions
  • Experience working in an Indigenous organization
  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history, with a focus on the impacts of trauma
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build lasting relationships
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and database management
  • First Aid/CPR and non-violent crisis intervention certification (an asset)
  • Valid driver's license with a clear driving record (an asset)

As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must obtain a clean Criminal Record and Judicial Matters (CPIC) check with Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS) within 30 days of hiring.
