Vaughan, Ontario, Canada Public Disposal and Recycling Inc. Full time

As a Diesel Mechanic - Equipment Specialist at Public Disposal and Recycling Inc., you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your tasks will include ordering parts, maintaining inventory, adjusting equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts. You will also be responsible for keeping maintenance reports and documentation, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Additionally, you will clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work, perform repair work on heavy trucks, service attachments and working tools, and verify and repair emission control systems.

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, overtime, sound discrimination, and standing for extended periods. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 32 to 35 hours per week.
