Diesel Mechanic Job Description

LK REPAIR TERMINAL is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your duties will also include ordering parts and maintaining inventory, adjusting equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts. You will also be responsible for keeping maintenance reports and documentation, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Additionally, you will clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work, and perform repair work on heavy trucks. You will also service attachments and working tools, and verify and repair emission control systems.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The work environment is physically demanding, requiring attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, and manual dexterity. You must be accurate, client-focused, dependable, have excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, and reliability.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is required. You must be able to work 32 to 35 hours per week and have a strong understanding of English.
