Job Title: Optical AssociateWe are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Optical Associate to join our team at our Penticton Skaha Lake clinic. As an Optical Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering world-class service to our patients and helping us achieve our mission of enhancing the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Educate clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality
- Inform patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions as well as assist with the selection of frames to suit their aesthetic and performance needs
- Interpret optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
- Perform frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear and perform repairs and adjustments to returning patients'
- Place Contact Lens orders and assist with fittings
- Communicate with patients in person, by phone, and by email
- Bill the patient, their medical service provider, and other third parties
- Manage appointment bookings, prescription printouts, and billing and payments
- Warmly greet patients as they enter our clinic
- Uphold excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, preferably retail environment preferred
- Previous optical experience is considered an asset
- Passionate about customer service
- A high level of comfort using technology and computers
- A great communicator who can provide exceptional patient care
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
