Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Night Shift Supervisor to join our team at Airport Traveller's Inn. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our night shift staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of 3-4 team members
    • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations
    • Perform same duties as workers supervised to maintain a hands-on approach
  • Operations Management
    • Coordinate and assign tasks to team members to ensure timely completion
    • Prepare and submit reports on daily operations and performance
    • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality
  • Customer Service
    • Assist guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service
    • Ensure the maintenance of our facilities and equipment to provide a welcoming environment for our guests
  • Training and Development
    • Train new staff members on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Requisition materials and supplies as needed
    • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Judgement and decision-making skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Team player with a positive attitude
Working Conditions
  • Permanent full-time position
  • 32 hours per week
  • English language required
