Data Coordinator, Clinical Trials Specialist

Job Summary
The Data Coordinator, Clinical Trials will be a key member of the Clinical Trials Team, responsible for planning and implementing clinical trials. This role will involve coordinating clinical trials from the protocol review and approval stage through to activation, trial closure, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data management aspects of clinical trials, collaborating with other team members to design data capture tools, capture and record clinical trials data, monitor and promote data quality and integrity, and prepare summary reports.
- Organize and maintain study files and documentation.
- Prepare reports and regulatory documents as required, distributing them to external individuals and/or groups.
- Ensure follow-up tests are completed and deficiencies reported.
- Organize and conduct study start-up and termination procedures with outside agencies in accordance with Federal Guidelines adapted by each sponsor.
- Correlate, organize, and calculate trial data for reports, audits, studies, and other client needs according to established criteria.
- Complete study case report forms and other documents within required timeframes.
- Retrieve or request data by identifying selection parameters for retrieval.
- Obtain information from patients, charts, family, or other healthcare professionals as required.
- Utilize coding systems and resources as required to code and input data related to clinical trials.
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized Health Record Administration Program with eligibility for membership in the Canadian College of Health Records Administrators at the Certificate level.
- Two (2) years recent related data management experience in a clinical trials environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Certification such as the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) Clinical Research Associate/Coordinator Certification preferred.
