Human Resources Associate

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Associate to join our team in downtown Toronto. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and employee onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll transactions and maintain accurate employee records
- Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees
- Administer changes to employee records and maintain up-to-date information
- Produce reports and present findings to management on compensation, exit interviews, and employee information
- Provide guidance and support to staff and leaders on HR administrative queries, including policies and procedures
- Act as a liaison between benefits, payroll, and IT teams
- Facilitate staff changes, including hires, terminations, resignations, and contractors
- Gather information from leaders to set up contingent worker/third-party vendors
- Prepare letters for contract extensions and coordinate maternity leave benefits
- Initiate claims and coordinate aspects of the interns program
- Process all invoices for the HR team and follow up on discrepancies
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a focus on generalist and business partner roles
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on MS Excel
- Completed post-secondary education in HR, including a CHRP
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Workday or similar systems
- Ideal experience from a professional services environment
- Experience supporting a heavily matrixed and high-volume workload
- Client-service oriented and comfortable supporting all levels of employees and executive management
- Demonstrated ability to develop and strengthen relationships
- Fantastic communicator, both orally and in writing
- Strong executive presence and polished presentation skills
- Ability to operate independently and work with autonomy
- Thrives in a fast-paced, complex corporate environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace with conflicting deadlines and changing priorities
