About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Associate to join our team in downtown Toronto. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and employee onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process payroll transactions and maintain accurate employee records
  2. Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees
  3. Administer changes to employee records and maintain up-to-date information
  4. Produce reports and present findings to management on compensation, exit interviews, and employee information
  5. Provide guidance and support to staff and leaders on HR administrative queries, including policies and procedures
  6. Act as a liaison between benefits, payroll, and IT teams
  7. Facilitate staff changes, including hires, terminations, resignations, and contractors
  8. Gather information from leaders to set up contingent worker/third-party vendors
  9. Prepare letters for contract extensions and coordinate maternity leave benefits
  10. Initiate claims and coordinate aspects of the interns program
  11. Process all invoices for the HR team and follow up on discrepancies

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a focus on generalist and business partner roles
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on MS Excel
  • Completed post-secondary education in HR, including a CHRP
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Workday or similar systems
  • Ideal experience from a professional services environment
  • Experience supporting a heavily matrixed and high-volume workload
  • Client-service oriented and comfortable supporting all levels of employees and executive management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and strengthen relationships
  • Fantastic communicator, both orally and in writing
  • Strong executive presence and polished presentation skills
  • Ability to operate independently and work with autonomy
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, complex corporate environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace with conflicting deadlines and changing priorities
