Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tailings EIT Specialist to join our team at Barrick. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating effective two-way engagement with stakeholders, building trust and transparency, and maintaining a registry of local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain a stakeholder registry, facilitate two-way engagement, and implement the Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
  • Communication and Monitoring: Develop communication techniques, monitor activities in the field, and analyze and evaluate queries, complaints, and emerging issues.
  • Community Development: Facilitate participatory diagnostic workshops, identify community needs, and manage community development projects.
  • Social and Economic Monitoring: Conduct social and economic monitoring activities, and monitor the impacts of our operations.
  • Training and Awareness: Undertake induction and awareness training programs for employees, contractors, and consultants.
  • Population Influx Management: Monitor population influx and implement population influx management programs in collaboration with planning authorities.
  • Supply Chain Support: Identify local business opportunities and support the local supplier development program.
  • Compliance and Monitoring: Support compliance with social targets, such as local hiring and local purchasing.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Sociology, Social Work, or Social Sciences.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and interpreting in Balochi language.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and interpreting in Brahovi, Urdu, and English languages.
  • Command on Microsoft Office.
