About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our team at Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott Barrie. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a high-performing team of hotel staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the hotel's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to ensure profitability and cash flow management.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest has a memorable and enjoyable stay, responding to guest feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security, ensuring that the hotel meets or exceeds Marriott's quality standards.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups to promote the hotel's brand and services.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a senior management role in the hospitality industry, preferably with a Marriott property.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
