Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Barrie. As a key member of our hotel staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Scheduling
    • Co-ordinate activities with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
    • Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on hotel performance and staff productivity
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure they are meeting their performance expectations
  • Customer Service
    • Assist guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service to ensure their stay is memorable
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Maintain the operation of hotel systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure business continuity
    • Arrange for repairs and maintenance as needed
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Requisition materials and supplies as needed to ensure efficient hotel operations
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a hotel operations role
  • Language
    • Fluent in English
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a large workload and tight deadlines
  • Personal Suitability
    • Accurate and detail-oriented
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Flexible and able to work in a team environment
