About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our team at Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott Barrie. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and improve hotel performance.
    • Lead and motivate a high-performing team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
    • Collaborate with department heads to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Financial Management
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve hotel profitability.
  • Guest Experience
    • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through effective service delivery and quality control.
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive guest loyalty and retention.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and implement processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel management role, preferably in a similar capacity.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
