About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Fulfillment Technologies team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that support our fulfillment services process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications to support our fulfillment services process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects
  • Develop and maintain software applications using modern programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, and Ruby
  • Work with automation tools to build, test, release, and monitor software applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production software issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop monitoring solutions to ensure software applications are running smoothly and efficiently
  • Perform software maintenance and configuration to ensure software applications are up-to-date and running smoothly
  • Implement fixes for internally developed code and perform SQL queries as needed
Requirements
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
  • Experience with automation tools for building, testing, releasing, or monitoring software applications
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language (desired)
  • Experience working on highly concurrent, high-throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems (desired)
