About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our Fulfillment Technologies Support Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software applications responsible for shipment, item availability, customer promises, and shipment optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Perform software maintenance and configuration to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Implement fixes for internally developed code using languages such as Perl, Ruby, C/C++, and Java.
  • Perform SQL queries to analyze and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement new features and enhancements.
Requirements
  • Experience programming with modern languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Proficiency in tools for automation, including building, testing, releasing, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of complex distributed systems and high-throughput systems.
