Job Title: Software Development Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced software engineer who can design and develop software products that provide measurement and reporting to a wide range of users across Amazon's advertising suite. You will be responsible for combining open-source technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Presto with AWS services like EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, and DynamoDB to build the next generation of our Traffic Ingestion and Application platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software products that provide measurement and reporting to a wide range of users
  • Combine open-source technologies with AWS services to build large-scale software solutions
  • Work on a team of experienced software engineers to deliver high-quality software products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain software products using agile development methodologies
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Experience with cloud computing and big data technologies
