About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join our team at Moneris. As a key member of our Internal Audit Services department, you will be responsible for the performance and delivery of assigned internal audits, following the annual internal audit plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Internal Audit Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement audit plans to ensure effective risk management and control processes are in place.
    • Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
    • Identify and report on areas of improvement and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • IT Audit Expertise
    • Perform IT audits to assess the effectiveness of IT controls, risk management, and governance processes.
    • Assess the security and integrity of IT systems and data.
    • Identify and report on areas of improvement and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders and other stakeholders to ensure effective audit planning and execution.
  • Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
    • Share knowledge and expertise with team members to enhance the overall quality of our audit services.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in internal audit or a related field.
    • University degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
    • CISA or CIA professional accounting designation required.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of risk management and control processes.
