About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at LHR Global - Saudi Arabia. As a Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in identifying and managing HSE risks, prioritizing and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure compliance with industry, governmental, and international standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and investigations to identify root causes of incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Lead or facilitate Operational HSE risk assessments (i.e. SIMOP studies) utilizing recognized techniques such as HAZOP, Bow-tie, QRA, etc.
  • Develop and audit Safety and environmental management systems, ensuring they are aligned with company policies and industry best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement emergency management systems for highly hazardous multi-site operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental science, or a related field.
  • 10 years of related safety/operational experience and/or training in the oil and gas industry (preferably 3 years in offshore).
  • Knowledge or training in occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental, and/or international standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage remote teams and develop people.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
What We Offer
  • Competitive monthly base salary aligned with company employees with similar skills.
  • Monthly overbase of 25% of your monthly base salary.
  • Benefits supplement of 20% of your monthly base salary, increasing to 25% after 3 years, 30% after 6 years, and 35% after 12 years.
  • Severance package with a 2-year vest period, including 2 weeks' pay for each year of service.
  • Employee share purchase plan (ESPP) with a maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay and a 20% share discount.
