Job Overview: International Paper is in search of a Facilities Preservation Engineer dedicated to safeguarding and enhancing company assets related to manufacturing operations, ensuring personnel safety, and promoting environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will possess expertise in industrial reliability enhancement techniques and methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute facility design project requests
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and engineering regulations
  • Provide engineering support for various projects
  • Maintain documentation and mechanical standards
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams on facility-related matters
  • Guide and mentor junior technical staff
  • Assist in the upkeep of waste and water treatment facilities
  • Support the execution of facility preservation strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and global manufacturing guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with maintenance and operations personnel
  • Assist in the development of capital projects
  • Mentor and support junior engineers
  • Facilitate maintenance of waste water treatment and solid waste management facilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant experience
  • Expertise in the analysis, design, and repair of various structural and piping systems
  • Familiarity with building regulations and engineering software tools
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency
