Job Summary

The Ruby Tester will be responsible for ensuring software quality through test automation and manual testing, utilizing Ruby and related tools. This role involves collaborating with agile teams, coordinating onshore and offshore efforts, and contributing to CI/CD processes while leveraging domain knowledge in insurance to enhance testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts using Ruby and relevant automation tools.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams for efficient testing execution and delivery.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies to integrate quality throughout the development process.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in test automation with at least 1+ years of experience in Ruby.
  • Experience automating testing processes using Ruby testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in agile teams using BDD, Cucumber, Gitlab, and Jenkins.
  • Well-versed in DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
  • Experience as an automation architect to devise enterprise-level automation solutions and frameworks is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work and support an onshore-offshore model.

Location

This is a remote position open to qualified applicants in Ontario and/or Nova Scotia, where our hubs are located. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.
