Job Title: Java Automation Tester

Location: Halifax, NS (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

At Lorven Technologies, we are seeking a skilled Java Automation Tester to join our team. As a Java Automation Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications by designing and implementing automated tests. Your expertise in Java, SQL server, and Sybase will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated tests using JUnit and Jenkins
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks
  • Identify and report defects in the software application
  • Work with the project management team to ensure timely delivery of projects

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of Java and its ecosystem
  • Sound knowledge of SQL server and Sybase
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit and Jenkins
  • Source Code Management experience in GitHub
  • Project /Agile management tools such as Jira, Confluence
  • Nexus IQ
  • Business knowledge of middle office back office trade clearance and pricing
