Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Howard Johnson Grande Prairie.

Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment
  • Repair and replace parts as needed, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components
  • Conduct safety and security checks to ensure a secure and healthy work environment
  • Supervise and assist other maintenance staff as needed
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and drywall repair
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and kneeling
Work Environment:

The Building Maintenance Worker will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The regular hours of work are 40 hours per week.
