Job Title: Translator (English to French)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Translator (English to French) to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Translator, you will be responsible for translating texts from English to French in a variety of fields, including economics, advertisements, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate complex texts from English to French, ensuring accuracy and consistency in style and tone.
  • Use translation software to optimize efficiency and ensure consistency within documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common objectives and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Conduct research to justify the use of terminology specific to certain texts and contribute to the department's terminology database.
  • Provide high-quality services to partners by meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a translator.
  • B.A. with specialization in English to French translation.
  • Thorough knowledge of French and English.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Good knowledge of translation software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
