About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Penningtons, the Canadian plus-size fashion leader. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth, leading a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales and profit goals
  • Implement effective visual merchandising and store displays to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Manage store operations, including inventory management, stockroom organization, and loss prevention
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and events
Requirements
  • 1+ year of leadership and/or supervisory experience in a customer-facing retail environment
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
