Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at La Phong Canada Ltd. as a key member of our culinary operations.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our culinary team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings and stay competitive in the market.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to plan and execute special events, banquets, and catering services.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of ingredients and equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, menu innovations, and culinary techniques to continuously improve our culinary offerings.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, cost control, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as local health codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Cook Trade Certification and a strong understanding of Vietnamese cuisine.
