Project Overview

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead the deployment of projects and change management across the company. Reporting to the CO-CEO, this role will play a key part in working with business leaders to define project scope, create work breakdown structures, and develop resource matrices and project budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and comprehend project requirements.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and input to successfully complete strategic initiatives.
  • Work with multiple teams to resolve escalated cases/issues.
  • Ensure completeness of all required documentation from all parties.
  • Document, recommend, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Project Management Professional designation or working towards preferred.
  • 10 years or more of experience in managing projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS apps, including Power Point, Word, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
  • Experience with leading a team.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with experience handling multiple priorities and requests.
  • Highly focused with attention to detail and ability to collaborate well with others.
