About the Role

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and comprehend project requirements, define project scope, create work breakdown structures, and develop resource matrices and project budgets.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments to minimize project risks and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and input to successfully complete strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines and system requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with multiple teams to resolve escalated cases and issues, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Ensure completeness of all required documentation and recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Professional Designation: Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or working towards preferred.
  • Experience: 10 years or more of experience in managing projects, with a proven track record of success.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, and experience leading a team.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Superior organizational and time management skills, with experience handling multiple priorities and requests.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly focused with attention to detail and ability to collaborate well with others.
