About the Role

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, define project scope, create work breakdown structures, and manage project budgets.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business leaders, team members, and clients.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and input to ensure successful project completion, including timelines and system requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve escalated issues and ensure project continuity.
  • Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Ensure completeness of all required documentation and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Professional Designation: Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or working towards preferred.
  • Experience: 10 years or more of experience in managing projects, with a proven track record of success.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience leading a team and managing multiple priorities.
