About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Port Hope Guardian Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Workflow Management: Assist with scheduling and workflow to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services.
  • Third-Party Billing: Bill third-party insurers for services rendered.
  • Claims Processing: Process claims such as health insurance or workers' compensation.
  • Supply Management: Maintain supplies and ensure that they are readily available for use.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that medications and supplies are properly stocked.
  • Support for Healthcare Professionals: Assist healthcare professionals with tasks and duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an Other Trades Certificate or Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or related setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
