About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Passage to India Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Plan and organize daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
    • Ensure that all restaurant systems and processes are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Financial Management
    • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
    • Monitor and control restaurant expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customers have a positive dining experience.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise and train restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Participate in marketing plans and implementation, including social media and advertising campaigns.
    • Develop and implement promotions and events to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Conduct regular health and safety inspections to identify and address any potential hazards.
  • Technology and Systems
    • Manage restaurant technology systems, including point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and other systems.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and implement new systems and processes as needed.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
    • Experience
      • 3-5 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
    • Skills
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Strong leadership and management skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
      • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, supply chain logistics, and financial management.
      • Ability to train and develop staff.
      • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
      • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive team culture.
