**District Resource Teacher - Inclusive Learning Role**

The Richmond School District is a leader in inclusive education, recognized for its commitment to diversity, equity, and community partnerships. As a District Resource Teacher - Inclusive Learning, you will play a key role in supporting students with diverse abilities and needs.

About the Position
  • Collaborate with school teams to provide support and resources for students with significant learning and/or behavior challenges.
  • Design and implement professional learning opportunities for teachers and education assistants at the district and school level.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Support Plans.
  • Support schools in the transition of students from preschool to Kindergarten, grade 7 to high school, and high school to adulthood.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs based on B.C.'s Curriculum for students with disabilities and diverse abilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with administrators, classroom teachers, resource teachers, education assistants, and district staff to support students with diverse abilities.
  • Design and implement professional development opportunities for teachers and education assistants.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Support Plans.
  • Support schools in the transition of students from preschool to Kindergarten, grade 7 to high school, and high school to adulthood.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs based on B.C.'s Curriculum for students with disabilities and diverse abilities.
Requirements
  • Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
  • Fully qualified and experienced Learning Resource teacher with demonstrated competencies in addressing a wide range of student needs.
  • Graduate Level coursework in Special Education and recent Resource teacher experience is an asset.
