District Resource Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Resource Teacher - Inclusive Learning Specialist to join our team at School District #38 (Richmond). This is a full-time position available for September 1, 2024.
Key Responsibilities- Provide collaboration, consultation, and direct support to school teams to support students with disabilities and diverse abilities who have significant learning and/or behavior challenges.
- Design and implement professional learning opportunities related to inclusive learning for teachers and education assistants at the district and school level.
- Develop and maintain relationships with outside organizations to implement projects and support the district's strategic plan.
- Support schools in the transition of students from preschool into Kindergarten, grade 7 to high school, and high school to adulthood.
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs based on B.C.'s Curriculum for students with disabilities and diverse abilities with significant learning and/or behavior challenges.
- Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
- Fully qualified and experienced Learning Resource teacher with demonstrated competencies in addressing a wide range of student needs, including students with complex developmental and behavioral challenges.
- Graduate Level coursework in Special Education and recent Resource teacher experience is an asset.
