About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bakery Manager to join our team at Farm Boy. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of our bakery department, including ordering, merchandising, labour scheduling, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all objectives and goals of the department and store are met and/or exceeded, as communicated by the Store Manager.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery department, including inventory management, ordering, and merchandising.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and recognition to ensure excellent customer service and quality products.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and Retail Specialist to execute strategies aimed at achieving financial results and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Safe Food Handling regulations and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in store coverage rotation as a Manager on Duty, including opening and closing the store, and supporting alarm system emergencies.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
  • Successful completion of a Public Health Food Handler certification, Smart Serve, and Level A First Aid and Basic CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Fluency in English and French is an asset.
