Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on all legal matters related to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to stakeholders on all legal matters related to our business operations.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our leasing and sales departments to support business development and commercial matters.
  • Manage legal proceedings, including litigations, arbitrations, and hearings, as required.
  • Ensure our operations comply with all relevant laws and regulations and manage legal risks effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB) from an accredited Canadian university and current membership with the Law Society of Alberta.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Corporate and/or Contract Law, with a focus on leasing and financing.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the Aviation sector.
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding of commercial agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively in pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
