Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the highest efficiency and quality of operations through capital planning, systems controls, general engineering, project management, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project management, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement capital plans and budgets to achieve operational efficiency and quality.
  • Provide expertise in introducing new equipment and systems, and support cost savings projects by recommending new methodologies and equipment.
  • Review new product and process initiatives to determine the best production methods and necessary equipment.
  • Oversee equipment purchases, installation, and startup, ensuring the best price and ongoing engineering support to maximize output and minimize downtime.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations by managing the Engineering and Maintenance departments to achieve targeted operational uptime, deliver quality products on time, and within budget.
  • Lead the Engineering and Maintenance departments consistent with company culture, ensuring fair and respectful treatment of employees.
  • Support the safety program through engineering safety into every project.
  • Conduct performance discussions with Engineering and Maintenance staff to improve skills and performance.
  • Develop and maintain a progression plan for all maintenance employees to increase their technical skills.

Requirements

  • Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Implementation or project management experience. PMP preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience, including management experience.
