Emergency Department Nurse

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team.
About the Role:As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, treat, and provide health promotion for all patients. You will be expected to adhere to the standards mandated by the College of Nurses of Ontario and demonstrate a commitment to providing safe and supportive care.
Responsibilities:- Assess and treat patients in the Emergency Department
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of one-year recent experience in Acute Care Nursing
- Current RN Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Completion of Coronary Care I and II or equivalent
- Current ACLS Certification
- Completion of Physical Assessment course
- Excellent customer service demeanour
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
