About the Opportunity

Khoury College of Engineering at Northeastern University invites applications for a non-Tenure-Track faculty position in Vancouver, Canada. The successful candidate will report directly to the MGEN Executive Program Director and be responsible for teaching, advising, and curriculum development. The role prioritizes building strong connections with students and contributing to the college and university through service.

Candidates should be committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment and promoting experiential learning. This position will involve teaching six core or elective courses per year, with the possibility of teaching in the evenings and during summer sessions. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop course content, prepare academic activities and course delivery materials, and advise students.

Additional duties associated with this role include:

  • Instruct and prepare students to improve relevance, rigor, and quality through teachings and course offerings
  • Counsel students on academic advising and other academic matters
  • Respond to unit and student inquiries
  • And other duties as required

A PhD in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field is required by the appointment start date. The candidate for this role will have a terminal credential in a related engineering field, 10+ years of experience in either higher education and/or a relevant engineering field, and expertise working with a diverse student population.

The expected hiring range for Assistant Teaching Professor is CAD $103,660 to CAD $127,000, based upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Associate Teaching Professor is CAD $114,000 to CAD $139,370 based upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Full Teaching Professor is CAD $125,430 to CAD $153,300 based upon the position's scope and responsibilities.
