Senior Research Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategist

As a Senior Research Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategist, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing initiatives to enhance successful funding outcomes across the Canadian research landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EDI strategies to support the university's research community in achieving equity, diversity, and inclusion goals.
- Collaborate with researchers, research groups, and university stakeholders to promote EDI best practices in research design and practice.
- Provide technical writing and editing support to researchers in developing EDI-focused proposals and grant applications.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including research grant agencies and colleagues from other institutions, to stay current on evolving trends in EDI in research design and practice.
- Develop and deliver EDI educational activities, including workshops, seminars, and online resources, to support the university's research community.
- Lead the development of the university's CRC Action Plan and its implementation, ensuring alignment with EDI goals and objectives.
- Monitor and report on progress towards meeting CRC EDI targets and course correct as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in a relevant field, supplemented by at least five years' experience working in an administrative research environment in an institutional setting.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing EDI strategies in research practice and design, preferably in a university setting.
- Strong scholarly writing skills, excellent communications skills, and proven interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work effectively, and maintain composure and focus when working to deadlines.
