Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex RLC Limited. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and ensuring infection control. You will also be required to observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects, prepare patients for surgery, and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and conduct specimen collection
  • Ensure infection control and observe medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Prepare patients for surgery and provide safety and health education
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by provincial authorities
  • First Aid Certificate
Working Conditions:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and will be required to stand for extended periods. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
