Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex RLC Limited.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a nursing home/home for the aged setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation
  • Apply aseptic techniques and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Conduct specimen collection and ensure proper handling and storage
  • Monitor patients' progress and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Provide nursing services, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and patient education
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by provincial authorities
  • First Aid Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Geriatrics experience
  • Palliative care experience
  • Rehabilitation experience
