Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist - Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing individualized drug therapy to patients with cancer, utilizing your expertise in aseptic techniques, biological safety cabinets, and cytotoxic drug handling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized drug therapy to patients through methods such as receiving patient charts, assessing clinical response, and creating therapeutic plans.
  • Interact with patients and the healthcare team to ensure appropriate medication therapy and develop therapeutic plans.
  • Prepare and dispense medications and other pharmaceutical supplies to ensure practices and standards are in accordance with relevant federal and provincial legislation.
  • Provide verbal and written drug information to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within the Agency and to patients through individualized counselling.
  • Assist with the provision and/or financial support of non-BCCA benefit medications required to optimize the therapeutic plan.
  • Provide instruction and/or supervision of pharmacy students and/or pharmacy residents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy with current registration as a Licensed Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program.
  • One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Kelowna, Victoria, Prince George, Surrey, Vancouver, and Abbotsford.

Hours of Work:

Monday – Friday; depending on operational needs.
